The NeCTAR project is now in the Research stage. As part of the research process we have collected responses to an online needs assessment survey, completed by community-based agency staff across Ontario. Currently, we are in the process of conducting focus groups with the goal of determining specific information needs in key areas. Focus group participants consist of community-based agency staff as well as Internationally Trained Tradespersons (ITTs) with a professional background in one of the following trades:

• Construction Maintenance Electrician
• Automotive Service Technician
• Hairstylist
• Industrial Mechanic / Millwright

We have already held focus groups with Peel, Toronto , Windsor and York regions. If you are interested in contributing your inputs through any of the focus groups, and/or participating in one of the training sessions, please contact us specifying the following:
